Old Garður Lighthouse

Located northwest of the Keflavik International Airport is the old Garður lighthouse and newer, taller lighthouse. Many photographers and tourists never stop by this Reykjanes landmark. This was shot shortly before sunrise HDR image. Canon 5DM4 with Canon 16-35mm @16mm HDR 1/25s 1/13s 1/6sf/16 ISO 100. Post-processing in LR CCC, PS CC, PS HDR Pro, Topaz Denoise AI.

Garður Lighthouse

Located about 200 yards away from the old lighthouse, the new lighthouse stands taller and away from the sea. I could see the light from the plane as we were landing at Keflavik International Airport before dawn.

Reykjanes Lighthouse

This lighthouse is located between the sea cliffs of Valahnúkamöl and the hot springs of Gunnuhver Hot Springs. The area is kind of off the beaten path since few people venture west and south of airport except to the Blue Lagoon. We wanted to venture to a better vantage point for a shot but the areas were restricted. Unlike others, we actually follow the rules. Canon 5DM4 with Canon 100-400 @ 150mm f/22 (not sure why) ISO 100 1/8s.

Gullfoss Final Light

We arrived at Gullfoss during the last part of the day. Still wearing the clothes we wore on the plane, we weren't prepared for the sharp, stinging cold from the light wind. This is a 3 image HDR composite. Canon 5DM4 with Canon 24-70 @ 57mm ISO 100 f/22 1/4s 1/2s 1s exposures. Post-processing using LR CCC, PS CC HDR Pro, and Topaz Clarity.

We we're some of the first visitors to the geyser this morning. After about 30 minutes, the buses started to arrive.
